Question: will it kill my child because of being smaller and less blood supply or because it would kill anyone?

Who says the world is ending? I know this is a hypothetical, but I’d take my chances that, in this scenario, the media/government is lying/blowing things out of proportion.
I don’t watch zombie shows/movies. Is it a thing that the cure has to come from children?
