A top priority would be protecting our refineries. We're fairly concentrated in that department. I could see the Russians using conventional ICBMs just to take out a refinery.

we do, easily. Our navy and airforce wreck shop while our reinstituted draft insures we have an unbeatable army backed by the most heavily armed populace the world has ever seen fighting on its home turf.

This sounds bad arse!!

We'd go on the offensive. And not to roll into a country and set up a new government or train police, I'm talking rolling up and wrecking shop! Raping horses, riding off on the women. Really crushing spirits and shite.
Forcing everyone to speak English, eat at McDonalds, watch NASCAR and get fricked in the arse by Ray Jay.

And actually, since "the world" isn't allowed to attack us for one full year, we could probably just tour the globe with pocket knives and kill them all one by one.

Will lets think about this. What if the world took over Alaska and killed a huge supply of our oil. I'm sure we would hurt from that. No way Alaska stands with Russia and Canada near by.

I see a few posters don't have a clue of the cards America really holds. You can't be the world police if you don't have the nuts to back it up. And even if somehow they were able to get on our land, foreign enemies would get fricked completely up in the south. The gorilla warfare in the south alone would be epic

They'd have to launch a shite load because the ones that didn't get shot down before arrival would be inaccurate as balls which, IIRC, is why soviet ICBMs focused on fire power and american ones are smaller because ours can land on the Kremlins door step

EMP would most likely be used against us. That would cripple the hell out of us.

Alaska could truly get boned in that scenario but a land force would lose a LOT trying to invade it at least. It'd be even worse than invading Russian in the winter considering the terrain. Would hope US air defense systems would be up for an insane barrage

Is it possible to generate a large scale EMP without going nuclear?

We would win easily.

People really don't understand how much power this country has...if we had our backs against the wall and were actually pissed off, we could easily destroy most of the world.

With a year advance warning, the military and private gun manufacturing machine would churn out weapons like you've never seen. Everyone would own a gun in preparation.

Our Naval and Air Force superiority by itself would keep most attackers from ever reaching our shores, and the ones who did reach it would be repelled pretty fast.

I doubt it'd be easy fighting off the entire world but they'd lose an absolute shite ton of man power trying to establish a front, let alone invading and then occupying

Yea I was hoping he wasnt talking about actual food. We are the largest producer and exporter of food in the world. Like Moe Green kinda once said, "You dont starve me out, I starve you out"

We are talking a sustained action, after we lose our ability to keep producing our carriers, Air Force, and fuel on the necessary scale to keep them intact, we would no longer control the air. The world is a very large place, they would keep going compared to the land we would occupy. Our food source would be attacked as would every thing else. Basically we would become a prison would eventually fold. They only good thing is all of us who actually gave a damn and fought would of died long before this happened.

I mean look what we did to the soviets, we would be in a much worse position being at war with the entire world.

Like somebody previously said we have more aircraft carriers than the rest of the world combined. Our naval superiority would keep virtually any other nations boots for touching U.S soil. Our submarine fleet is also the most advanced in the world and would wreck havoc on enemy fleets trying to cross the oceans.

We would probably take the offensive and take over Canada for their oil and to keep a constant link between Alaska for oil purposes. Also, we would invade up to the Panama Canal so we control the only link between the Atlantic and Pacific Oceans.

Military wise we would be highly out numbered but we would be on the defense which plays in our favor and backed by the most powerful Air Force in the world plays in our favor. I could see our special forces take the offensive on secrete missions around the world just to instill fear in other nations eyes while our main army defends our nations borders.

In the the end man wise we would be vastly out numbered and lots of casualties would happen, specifically down near Latin America but I think it would end in a stalemate with both sides backing down in the end.

Oh yea, speaking of this...

Anyone feel there would still be a shite load of technology that these different countries used that us citizens wouldn't know about had it not been for 370? I never even thought of it, but this shite may have given away some secret U.S. weapons. Of course some from others too.

The lack of resources would be our downfall. The US could not be self sustainable in that amount of time.

I don't feel like that'd be as huge a problem as you suggest
