I heard her on the radio this morning and she made what I thought was an interesting comment. She was asked directly if she believed the two officers had committed any wrongdoing. While she did say that she would not comment until the findings were officially released, she stated adamantly that she had an opinion on what happened that night and would definitely let it be known after the announcement was made. Obviously, it was a pretty harmless comment on it's face and I don't believe she's going to intentionally try to stir up trouble, but the way she said it makes me a little nervous about what will actually come out of her mouth at that time and what kind of reaction it may cause. I just don't know what good would come from a mayor publicly providing their opinion on the facts of a case which has been removed from their jurisdiction by the Feds.
