Why do you think we would do anything like this? One, we don't have the capability and 2, it goes directly against our military doctrine.

Because he's completely ignorant of anything to do with the subject. He thinks he knows all about it. But he's shown in post after post he's totally clueless.

I do agree if a nuke is used, or a bomb of some great destruction..people would change their tune quickly.

Clueless? America has the most advanced military I'm history. And more drones and missiles and bombs and shite than most other counties combined.

Russia is an aging dinosaur with out of date tech.

They want to start a real war, America will blow them back to the stone age they crawled out of. And we'll do so without putting our own lives in danger.

We have weapons the world hasn't seen yet. Because we haven't needed to show them.

If a European War ever did break out and someone started throwing nukes around, even tactical ones, the result very well could be Armageddon. The use of nukes in Europe is a nightmare that I hope never becomes a reality.

We would win. Our military now has a lot of diversity.

Russian women were in combat when Rosie the Riveter was still making sandwiches. They win the diversity battle.

Yes. You're clueless.

Yes, the U.S. has the world's most advanced military in many regards. But what you'e ignoring is these things....

1. The U.S. Forces in Europe are but a shell of what they were even in the 90's.

2. The Russians have rebuilt and modernized their military to a point where they have an overwhelming advantage in Europe.

3. Drones are not some omnipotent invincible strategic weapons platform. At best drones are useful on a tactical level. You do know the difference between tactical and strategic, right?

BTW, if drones are as great and powerful as you claim, why haven't we wiped out ISIS with them yet? Why did we have to spend a decade in both Afghanistan and Iraq if we could have just "droned" our way to victory in a matter of days?

Just "1 button away" from a reality. I don't put anything past Russia and China. My ex is Lithuanian and some of the stories her parents could tell. Her father was wanted by the KGB lol, and Putin's never ending power grip over that country says a lot. After a while he may become delusional, bitter and angry..history seems to repeat its self when that happens.

We are going to get Scotty to beam that advanced military to the ETO, Darth. Logistics is no problem. Just ignore that whole Atlantic Ocean deal. It's just an inconvenience.

Very true. Putin has made no secret of the fact he wants to return Russia to its Soviet era dominance over Eastern Europe. And looking at the balance of forces in Europe, a winnable war for them is looking more and more realistic. That's not what we need.

shite you're right.

And it takes what 5-6 months to send stuff over there?maybe one day we'll invent a faster mode of transportation than a sail boat, but for now we have to put our supersonic aircrafts and drones on sail boats and row them accross the ocean.

You are vastly overestimating Russia and underestimating countries like the UK and Isreal.

Again, there is a great deal of restraint right now because of rules and treaties and shite, but if another real war ever kicked off, those rules dissappear quickly.

I have not once sold drones were invincible. They're expendable and useful.

Comparing a massive movement out of Russia to conquer countries in Europe to ISIS? and you calm me dumb?

ISIS is not a massively powerful and concentrated modern military force invading a country. It's small little pockets of guerilla warfare.

The Russians won't fight like ISIS. They'll go with a show of power and massive force. Bigger target, easier to hit.

You actually said what I did. The only problem is that I was being incredibly facetious. Wow.

ETA: How many superdrones can you load on a supersonic Air force transport? Tanks? Munitions? Food? Troops?

Your post exhibits a striking ignorance of the situation in Europe. Do you honestly think we could blunt a Russian invasion of any European country using drones? I'm sorry, but that's beyond absurd.

Could we? Absolutely

You've brought up this topic before and I'm still wondering why Russia would invade Europe. There are too many economic interests for Russian oligarchs in Western Europe. Countries just don't invade for no reason either. While Russia could get to the Danube easily, it would be extremely difficult to hold those supply lines. And they would have no reason to annex anywhere outside their traditional sphere of influence.

The bigger question is how long will it take NATO to liberate the Baltics? Assuming NATO wants to liberate the Baltics.

Are you saying if NATO was pitted against Russia in WWIII, they would lose the war?

Or are you saying if Russia invaded the Baltics today, Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania would be taken pretty easily?

Why the hell would Europe rebuild their militaries when they have the U.S. willing to do all their defense for them? At the moment, their citizens sit on great social benefits that the government can only afford because they have next to no military. It seems like its working pretty well for those free loaders.
