It's a transplant city, you'll see fans from everywhere. Atlanta is the same way.

Yep. I'm done. Collecting my insurance and rolling. It ain't worth the hassle. We could've fixed it right after Katrina but it was the same political bull shite and pan handling.

You're a transplant. My SO is a native New Orleanian and it's her greatest regret that circumstances prevent her from living there at the moment. Even with all the dysfunction, it's her home. I don't understand it, either, but it is what it is.

I was a transplant that came after Katrina. I've been gone 3 years, and I miss the hell out of it. I'd move back today, but I have a too good of paying job to quit and move back. I've been sending my resume, hoping to find something to sustain me. But everything I've found so far would be a 50+% paycut. And not moving there to live in the projects and eat ramen daily. But I'll get back eventually.

My life would be much simpler if I didn't love New Orleans so much.

Levees may prevent water from entering NOLA, but removing rain water can be the problem.
I'd be done because the city would have to rebuild its infrastructure beyond the disaster recovery efforts.

They should've already done it. They've done it in the surrounding parishes. But fricking Orleans parish is fricked up.

If it happens again, maybe we can get the musicians to move to Mobile. They've already got Mardi Gras, great seafood, and the bars can stay open 24 hours.

It is so hard to take a New Orleans girl out of New Orleans.

My personal choice is to put a little BR into the NOLA girl.

Way easier, but definitely not going to satisfy her.

You can only fight nature for so long. At some point, the Mississippi River, Gulf of Mexico, and a hurricane are going to win.

Mobile.

Spent a lot of time south of there and did some runs in town, I'am a fan and wouldn't mind. Just think if I was run out of NOLA, I wouldn't relocate to another vulnerable town.
To honest, I'm not sure where I'd go at the moment.

His part of Arkansas kind of sucks. But Northwest Arkansas is actually great. The economy is booming, it's safe, and it's beautiful. Outdoors activities are as good as on the Appalachians or Rockies. If I had a family, and it had a decent music scene, I could settle here in a heartbeat.

In the last month, I've whitewater paddled two different rivers, and spent labor day weekend on a spring fed lake. I'll probably end up hiking next weekend.
