Back when I had a wife it was usually about how I would pump a map of Hawaii on her tits instead of spraying the guts. She wanted kids. No kids for her.

When you have a falling out, - words are spoken, and there is an uncomfortable silence and lack of peace afterwards, what do you do to restore harmony in the house?

1 and 3.

Nothing. Been married longer than most of you have been alive. Sometimes nothing is the best thing to do.

Do nothing more often than not and let it play out. Easier in the long run that way.

You can be perfect but if she is taking 80 mg of Prednisone every day there are going to be arse chewings arriving daily.

I often get yelled at because the kids are doing something that pisses her off. She tells me I laid down to make them and they are my responsibility.

I got married when I was 25. Got divorced when I was 27, because I "didn't communicate enough and make her feel loved". I said okay. Two years later, I am happier than I have ever been, and I don't see getting married ever again. I hang out with my friends more, do whatever I feel like on the weekends, eat where I want to eat, and generally just live life more. Got a cool little apartment walking distance to the beach, and I get to go surfing almost every day. No getting bitched at about minor trivial bullshite, no dumb social events to awkwardly smile through, etc, no PMS bullshite. It's great.

What's the point? Marriage is just the "next step" people take when they are having a good time with each other and the sex is good. I discovered that for me, it was a big mistake. I'm not going to lie and say everything is perfect, there are definitely dry spells in my dating/sex life, but they are generally far enough apart to not bother me.

And this answer would be a very different story if I wasn't married already. When you're dating is the time to draw hard lines and have fights about stuff that really matters to you. And if you can't come to an agreement with your girlfriend, sometimes the answer is to walk away from the relationship.

At this point my wife and I know what is really important to each other (I think), and we've made agreements on how we're going to handle those things. Everything we fight about is negotiable.

I refuse to argue about anything.

I refuse to have my case gotten upon.

I'm a grown arse man. She gets on the kids' case, not on mine. If she has any chief complaint it's that I do things when I get around to them - usually not on her schedule. But she knows badgering me will only delay things more.

I am surprised none of the men did not at least suggest they have have some responsibility for being placed in the dog house?

NO apology?
No inward reflection?
Maybe the nagging is for a reason?

I know my wife works her tail off...even on her days "off" ..she is busy busy busy...doing things around the house, running kids, groceries, bills, planning endless things, usually for the children...(as most wives do)

I run a small business and seemingly could work none stop...I take care of the yard, house and vehicles...a few years ago I asked her to take over the personal bills. I handle all the taxes and that kind of financial stuff... I pitch in an do laundry...and we pay to have the house cleaned twice a month...she works 25 hours a week as a pharmacist...so she does put in some time that is stressful on her..

When I get off work, I tend to be selfish... I think most men do if we are honest, we are ...My wife cooks, I sometimes help with the dishes but not always. I want to eat and relax, not do more chores. Who does right?

I hate it when my wife isn't happy...and frankly it's really hard to get my heart right and in a place to be able to say "Let's talk" "I want to understand you better"

or "I am sorry"

The bottom line, if your wife perceives that you are not loving her or the family, then it's a reality that must be addressed rather than swept.

I know I am not a bad husband or father, the issue is deciding to be better versus getting defensive.

does anyone's wife ever get on them about HOW they do shite?

For instance, you do the ducking dishes but it's HOW you had them loaded, that makes her lose her shite?

Stuff like that?
