So yes, 800 small apartments can fit on top of a Costco in the middle of Los Angeles, with 23% of those units reserved for low-income residents and all units eligible for Section 8 vouchers.

They just doomed that entire project. That entire block will be nothing but a drug infested slum given time. The store will close and then you'll have an empty shell of a store with squatters in it, above and underneath it.

But at least they are isolated and in the same spot.

The Wire style baby.

Hitlers pen to paper quote has always been spot on.

I don't know it. What is that?

I thought this was going to be a new-age "Where the Heart is" remake.

I never said that. I said they would live "at" Costco, which they will. The apartments will literally be in the same building.

"at" is a common real estate term. "The Lofts at the River" doesn't mean they are "in" the river.

They overplayed their hand. Great idea until they added the low income aspect. They will rob costco blind.

How about turning malls into part apartments? You have on site daycare. Gaming center for kids. Orange Julius. Bowling alley, restaurants, gym, swimming.

I’ve been eyeing up selling my Costco stock for a few months. Low income housing adventures in California shall suffice as a good enough reason
