Identify this pottery.

I guess it's pottery, hell, I don't know. It's earthy looking I suppose. Anyway, it's weird looking and I can't determine it's purpose. It has some writing on the bottom that is not readable. It has a cork and what looks like, maybe, a spout to drink out of or pour wine out of?

Take a picture of the bottom mark.
Google image ring jug and see that a lot of the really old ones have a base. This more modern one might have been used as a decanter.

Judging by the picture of grapes painted on, I would guess wine goes in there.

That's a traditional decorative Cherokee circular wine jug. It's shaped that way so they can slide it up their leg and conceal it under their kilt when entering the Coliseum for to watch jousting. It dates back to the 15th century Elizabethan Era. I can tell by the way the grape leaves are painted.
