I agree. I just hope no one invents flying machines that allow people to fly over the wall.

competition for cheap labor positions would eliminate their insentive in the first place, aside from the fact most illegally here have only overstayed once valid visas. Only way to control the shite is to penalize U. S. employers

frick the wall. Just make all unemployed veterans border patrol officers and give them the assault weapons being turned in because of school shootings. You solve the illegal immigration problem and reduce unemployment at the same time.

Why do people rip on California? It has great weather, mountains, beaches, and it’s priced accordingly .

Whenever I hear someone rip on California, i automatically assume jealousy

Is it actually because they’re a large population that generally votes blue ?

It has the population equivalent of 22 states or like the 35th largest of a possible 233 countries in the world.

They should want to be independent, and they have their own identity. The Fed collects more in taxes from them than is spent on them (ie for every $1 they pay, they receive less than $1)

Guy starts OT thread about TD's weird obsession with California.

Half the baws tell him no such thing exists here.

Few hours later, poli board thread on the OT about building a wall around California.

And once we take the farmland, military bases and ports?

LA can’t even supply water to its citizens.

They are overpopulated for their resources.

the federal government isnt the reason why California has the most fertile produce farm land in the world. You think LA and SF and SD will randomly lose their capabilities of operating a port if California is no longer a member of the United States?

you think the federal government supplies California with water? The California water system is one of the most efficient and abundant water systems in the world. The problem isn't that there isn't enough. It's thay part of the state is a literal desert so that part needs more water and the vast majority of California's water is produced way the frick north of those desert areas which can cause transportation issues. Also, the state puts a lot of it's water into the central California farm land. There absolutely are issues with water availability for the desert regions, but California deals with that shite on its own

The federal government wouldn't be able to just take the water or the farmland

And before this comment gets misconstrued. Yes, the state does get assistance from the federal government when it comes to its farm land. It did so in 2016 during the drought. Im pretty sure state doesnt expect to get as much during 2018. The point is, California absolutely has water and it's issues aren't a prolonged water supply issue

They aren’t taking industrial and military ports with them if they go. We’d take them, by force if necessary. We aren’t losing access to the pacific.

And the people in the farmlands don’t support the policies of the big cities by and large. They should be able to secede if they wish.
