How in the frick can two people in the same apartment sleep through 4 stabbing?
I can sleep through almost any noise so I can see how it's possible. Plus these are college kids... they could have been drunk af passed out.

Well we know two of the deceased entered the apartment an hour or two before they were killed. That’s movement right there to disturb the silence in a thin walled apartment. I’ve been beyond shite hammered before and been woken up by roommates banging some skank much less being stabbed to death “no pun intended “. Are we to assume the two roommates that “slept” through a quadruple homicide are a couple? The roommates being opposite sexes I believe lowers the chances they were blackout drunk especially if they were a couple. If it was two Baws or frat stars I’d be more willing to buy that theory.

Also was there a unconscious person in the road or not. Second, unless the roommates are suspects why not say if they called 911 or not.
I haven’t seen anything about an unconscious person in the road, other than in that 1 guy’s posts. I think he was confused. Most likely someone reported an unconscious person that turned out to be one of the victims.
I read somewhere that a friend, who didn’t live in the house, made the call to 911. I’ll try to find where I saw that

The challenge here is they aren’t giving us much to actually assume. No motive. Not supposed to be worried but also no suspect in custody. Just a bunch of stabbed friends.

What’s messing with me right now are the two that were seen buying food an hour to an hour and a half before they were killed. They had to walk 1.2 miles back to the apartment, that’s probably 15 minutes. Then they are going to eat, another 15 to 30 minutes. It’s girls so they have to prep for bed, remove makeup, other face shite, etc. They probably were not in bed more than 30 minutes before they were killed. Either they were followed or the killer was already in the apartment. I’m thinking the latter.

Well now they are saying the public should be on alert.

Police investigating the brutal slaughter of four University of Idaho students appear to be searching for a “Rambo”-style knife in the slayings, a local store owner said.
quote:
Moscow Building Supply general manager Scott Jutte told the Idaho Statesman that a police officer stopped by the retailer more than once this week to inquire about the possible sale of a KA-BAR brand combat blade.
“They were specifically asking whether or not we carry KA-BAR-style knives, which we do not,” Jutte told the paper. “If we did, we could’ve reviewed surveillance footage. But it wasn’t something I could help them with.”
He said the tactical knives used by US Marines in the 1940s are “similar to the knife Rambo has,” Jutte added, referring to the Vietnam vet character famously played by actor Sylvester Stallone.

It was a Saturday night at 3 or 4 in the morning. If the two roommates were passed out drunk in their rooms they could have easily slept through it and not woken up til noon Sunday. I mean... I know I could have done that in college for sure.
No one has said they were awake when the girls got home from the food truck, right?

What a cluster. Local authorities are trying to be too smart by half. They are trying to balance what can’t be balanced. You can’t say there is no threat unless the killer is dead or arrested. He apparently is neither. This is someone who could kill 4 people without waking others in the house. Ninja Rambo.
Heads should roll, no pun intended.

Bethany & Dylan are both females
The 2 on the very left & right of the pic. All 4 in the middle were killed.

Don't go to Moscow Bldg Supply, they don't carry Ka-Bar knives.

Is there any chance the unharmed roommates were hiding when they heard the attack?

Why would they wait til noon to call the police?
My guess is they were passed out.

They would have called police earlier than noon on Sunday if
#1 they heard the attack
#2 they weren’t involved
Based on the details of the other 4 being seen out that night & returning home around 1:45AM, I’m starting to think the killer might have only seen those 4 & didn’t even know there were 2 others in the house.
Still baffling to think the 2 survivors wouldn’t hear 4 people being stabbed to death.

my wild guess is Madison’s boyfriend/ex (not going to name him but he’s on her Instagram) killed them all in a jealous rage.
Wouldn’t he know the other 2 roommates? Why would he let them live?

I think if it's a bunch of kids dead drunk, a lone killer could go room to room and slit throats- quick bleed out and silent.

I don't think it would have to be that quiet honestly for the roommates not to hear if they were passed out.
I mean screams and loud music were pretty common for me to sleep through on a Saturday night of partying in college. Hell, I passed out on couches in the middle of parties before and slept through them.
The harder thing would be killing the four unless they were passed out as well. Which is possible for sure.

I heard they brought in the FBI to help...
I’m sure they did, but I think the feds typically stay in the background so as not to show up the local LEOs. They may be running the investigation and wind up solving the thing, but I bet they’re just offering assistance when needed and providing the necessary resources. I don’t think they take a whole lot of credit either, regardless.
What I’m most talking about is the head of the ISP being the face of the investigation and standing up there giving pressers, answering questions, doing interviews, etc…Surely, he’s much more polished than the local guys. Kinda like every agency in Indiana, the surrounding states, and the FBI were likely part of a task force in the Delphi case, but the head of the Indiana State Police was the face of the investigation and likely made people feel better about how it was going—even though it now appears it wasn’t going anywhere until recently—because of the way he handles himself. (Though he’s does get a little emotional ).
But the mayor, Police Chief, and Sheriff in Moscow, ID haven’t had to do anything remotely close to this in their careers. I may be wrong, and one of them may be great at communicating under pressure and be able to calm the community down by at least giving the appearance they have it under control. But I don’t think the mayor is that guy.
