I still have an iPhone 5s that works fine. I like them but don't get in a frenzy to upgrade and spend a shite ton. When this one stops working I'll probably buy a 7 because it's cheaper.
I have a MacBook Pro laptop that's 7 years old and still works great

I’m not sure why all the animosity for AAPL.
I wasn’t a fan of the dual charge port/headphone jack. I never saw the benefit of the watch either. I think the phone, from a practical standpoint, is essentially the refrigerator. I think the best they can do is extend the battery life at this point and make it more sleek. I’m also not sure why the screen cracks everytime you drop it given when cell phones first came out you could drop them all the time and the screen wouldn’t crack.
I was not a big fan of Steve Jobs’ public persona, but it was a persona. I never met the guy, and maybe his persona was a result of another narrative.
On the intentional slowdown of the phone, I’m not sure anyone has enough information to definitively conclude Apple operated independently in that matter. I’m not defending AAPL if they’re the sole perpetrator, but many companies/agencies would stand to benefit from purchasing the new phone over keeping the older phone.
Not a huge fan of AAPL operations mainly in China, but that’s more a reflection of the current economic setup globally. I’d like to see the cash come back into the US they currently hold. But many companies are like AAPL in their strategy.
Not sure why you’d claim they’re “underperforming”. They only had more cash than XOM at one point.

quote:I believe you. I dump on HP because I had an HP at work and when Windows 10 came along, it went haywire (never was that good to start with). Now I have an Acer laptop at work and that thing is light years better than old HP with Windows 10. And better than my HP laptop at home, too.
my Chromebook is by far the best laptop from "surfing the web"
