I only use ice with liquor. Ice maker takes up freezer space.

The tap water where I live sucks, I'm not using the fridge ice dispenser. So I keep one water cooler ice tray in the freezer for my bourbon and scotch.

What do you fill the ice tray with?

And you know fridges have filters right?

Ice Trays: Sign of poor people or old people

My grandparents have an ice dispenser on their fridge door.

I say it's a sign of poor folk who can't afford a nice fridge.

Fridge filters don't filter out EVERYTHING

I'm sure he fills the ice tray with purified or spring water

My well water is bad. Lots of dissolved iron that a filter won't remove. We don't use much ice but an ice cube tray comes in handy for mixed drinks and whiskey

It's more a sign of people who have had nice fridges with ice makers that die quickly. And they have had that happen MANY times. And they understand how much the multiple icemaker repairs cost and are just damned tired of the bullshite.
