Weather channel will be ramping up the 24/7 doomsday casting.

The best storm chaser coverage was during hurricane Michael? when those 2 dudes got caught in the storm surge and had to abandon their car. They left the live cam running and it showed the car floating away. That was awesome.

Brett Adaire and I forget who was chasing with him at the time.

Caution using that 12z GFS ensemble plot. That is still run on the old GFS grid, not the GFSv12 grid.

Caution assuming the new GFS is better

Dude was delirious. He actually pondered for a while if he could feasibly finger a gator he saw.

This is correct. Him stopping on the side of the road and messing with that alligator was Emmy winning stuff.

Still, not a whole lot a difference in strength across the spread.

To be fair, it isn't ten days out from where that poster is supposed to be this weekend.

Fratella still on the hype train, saying the cold front modeling could be too aggressive with those recurve scenarios. More of a northern gulf coast threat due to that.

It is a Deep South cold front in September....there's reason for doubt.

Time to make a Costco run. I need 37 cases of water and 350 different types of snacks. Might get a few generators just in case the 6 I already have now stop working.

Weather nerds, saved my law partner’s life. He wouldn’t leave his house on the beach in Ocean Springs until I sent him screen shot of the discussion about 2 hours before it hit.

So landfall on this is about next Friday right?

Missed that one... I remember that we had a running thread with links to various live cam reporting.

anyway, whenever or wherever this one is going to hit... we more crazy amateur live storm reporting.

I got PTSD from Ida and it killed my grandmother. I don't need another storm coming through and damaging my house again when I'm gearing up to sell and move.
