Last month I drove through from Houston around 6pm and it was a colossal nightmare. Planning to do the same thing today and I imagine its still gonna be bad.
Anyone have any recommended routes / detour suggestions? TIA

At the worst time of the day on the worst day of the week to make that drive... prepare for pain.
I know I am, I’ll be there with you.

Get on Hwy 12 in Vidor. Take that all the way to Kinder. Take a right and get back on I-10 in Lacassine.
