That is a mean thing to do to you and I'm sure it was intended to hurt you. When someone is so hateful and spiteful, the natural reaction is to retaliate.

It is really hard in that situation to RESPOND rather than REACT.
The response that will give you power is to:

FORGIVE THEM..

Holding a grudge is pointless.
Honor your father by treating everyone like you want to be treated.

It's amazing how freeing forgiveness is. Nothing anyone else does can take away your connection with your father.

You definitely should be mad When I first read the title I thought you meant your bio father, but this dude raised you since birth. He's your father and your shitty fricking sister should be beat.

Dude did not say whether his late father's wife (his mother) was a second wife and not the mother of the other siblings. I suspect as much at this time.

So who's responsible for the names on his tombstone? Adopted or not you're still his son. Is there some animosity among your siblings?

I've never seen a headstone with the children of the deceased engraved on it. Can't even recall seeing one with the spouse's name on it. But these days you never know.

My grandfather has his children's names on his. Maybe it's an older generation thing. He would be 94 if he were still alive.

In some cultures, being adopted is a stronger unbreakable bond than blood-children.

I don't think many headstones even list the names of the deceased children.
my first thought as well after reading OP. I have never seen the deceased's kids names listed on a headstone.

Im a idiot.. i read it as you are adopted but at your birth fathers grave there was a stone.. you meant at your adopted fathers grave there is a stone i would be pissed at the siblings not my father. As long as he loved me and treatsd me like his own i wouldnt be mad at him.

Actually the best response may be no response at all. The sister will be looking to get some sort of entertainment value out of your anger over this.

If you ignore it, she will be denied it. You know the truth. And I would never EVER EVER sell that land.
