windshieldman.
I’m not gonna say that he’s close minded. I get where he is coming from it’s hard to get to the point where I am.
But man you seem like a good dude for doing that. I’d share a few beers with you

one of the few times I'll get personal on here, but I grew up in a home that would not tolerate racism or racist slurs, both parents were depression kids and clawed out of it to make a pretty decent life

I'm not going to lie 777. I grew up in a pretty racist family and town. I remember it being a huge issue when the first black family moved into our neighborhood.

My dad wasn't racist per se but he always hated trash. We sponsored a family from Timbuktu when I was about 10. To this day the old man despises trashy people but he doesn't really care about their race.

I don't consider him or myself racist. Just don't care to be around trash.

I'm black and my opinion about the flag is...that I don't care. It's never bothered me, Ive shared drinks with people with rebel flags hung in their garage and they were ok in my book. My allows me to travel to all parts of Louisiana far and wide. I also have a lot of white friends, rich and poor.

Is the word "job" difficult to say or something, maybe refer to it a the "j word" if so.

Those 3K people in the USA can fly what they want to. It is no reflection on me. I don't associate all black people with the terrorist group BLM. Social media only represents a tiny proportion of mainstream thinking.

I live in Alamo Heights which is a rather nice little enclave (for San Antonio standards) and there is a single house with a confederate flag in front. It is probably the trashiest house. Still not that bad though. Just thought I would add. Personally I would fly one in front of my house. I am interested to read the comments.

There’s so many confederate flags flying in front of these $850k shotgun doubles uptown. Mitch should have left the statues up.

Dixie is home.

If everyone in the south started flying ole Bonnie blue no one would give notice.

I have rebel flags. I still love everybody.

I’ve never liked the flag really. And I used to hate purple and gold rebel flags, but anyone should have the right to buy one on Amazon if they choose.

You can buy an ISIS flag on Amazon but not a rebel flag.

A modern day analog to the Rebel flag is Trump gear. I will be flying my Trump flag in 2020 after I get my surveillance cameras and booby traps installed.

You have anything to offer to the conversation or just another Cali twit?

This is a troll thread started by someone pretending to be black. "Conversation"...

The South is a skidmark and the idea it has had some major cultural impact on the world is laughable. Sorry you never left Tennessee to experience otherwise. Sorry I'm not sorry.

I think it's a bit of tribalism that has been built due to the condescension from the urban North and coasts. Also, a pride in what the South(all races) has given the world culturally.

Thank you for proving my post from earlier. And who cares who started the conversation? It was discussion about a controversial subject without hurling insults and shaking fists. Again, you proved my point here.

If you can't see the cultural influence that the South has contributed to America and World, then you can't be helped.

Btw, I've lived in multiple states West coast and east coast.Yet here you are with over 14,000 posts on a Southern based forum.

I'm west coast, born and raised, but if you can't appreciate the influence that the south has had on popular culture around the world (music in particular), then I don't know what to tell you.
