I want to reserve a new Bronco, but the pricing seems so low I’m fearful it will be crap

I expected it to be 60-70k and the fact that it’s 28-40k makes me look at it sideways. There’s no way they are building something that will live up to it’s expectations for that price. Also wtf not put a beefy v-8 in the higher up model???

It has to compete with the Wrangler, so pricing had to be comparable.

The original bronco cost $3665 in 1966 which is about $29,161 in 2020 dollars.

Reserve it.

It is over $50k if you add all the goodies and go to the upper tier trim models. I like the build quality of ford over the past 10 years, starting with the ex Boeing CEO's leadership of upping quality standards. My 8.5 year old Explorer is still in perfect condition.

Be in denial all you want, the V8 is an outgoing relic. Soon to be replaced by turbo v6's and battery/electric assists.
Sad to see them go, but small and/or luxury manufacturers will be the only ones giving them any sort of future. And most of those are announcing major reductions in development of those engines.
