Get a diesel pusher.
Never liked the under cab engines.
Had a bad experience as a kid when the engine in ours blew up and started a forest fire in Wyoming. That 454 I ours was overworked and the headers were too close to the fuel line.
Luckily we survived with the clothes on our backs.

I'm non-OT baller however the Phaeton my parents had was a total shite box. Perhaps just a lemon but they had numerous issues. Mainly with the hydraulic self leveling system, despite being in the shop numerous times it could never be fixed. One jack would not retract every single time, resulting in an alarm going off constantly.

Also, avoid Dixie RV.

The fact that everything I post is true just makes your jealousy that much more satisfying.

Go at least 500hp, tandem axle and 4 slide outs. If you are towing a secondary vehicle stay away from the 300 to 400hp - it's a bitch towing through the northwest states with a underpowered diesel.

Do not park that eyesore at your house unless you want your neighbors to hate your guts.

They are not hard to drive. Diesel pusher is best, much less engine noise in the cabin. 400 hp is plenty of power. I would avoid the lower price manufacturers. Had a bad experience with Dixie RV too.
