That is correct. "Tomahawk" is not a derogatory name. Neither is "Apache." Both are true irrespective of whether stupid people take offense to those terms.
I can't speak to whether the FSU cheer is derogatory. I don't know it's origin. I suspect that people who take offense to it are not Seminoles and are also stupid.

He was taking a class, for a grade, for credit. She interrupted his project to politically correct him about inconsequential minutiae. It may influence his grade and GPA.
She has declared war for no reason and must now be triggered daily for no reason, or any reason at all. The list of things to wind her up about is endless.

Are you incapable of reading? The link does say a Seminole tribe in Oklahoma is offended? By the Seminole name being used at FSU and the tomahawk chop?
