Give it a day. If it causes any issues you will likely know. The dog will start puking if there’s a blockage.

Ours did that around that weight. All good, passed it.

My dog once ate an entire bowl of hershey kisses. I found aluminum foil shite piles in the yard for 3 days. He survived just fine. A plastic bottle cap is an appetizer.

My dog ate all kinds of stuff over the course of his life and I worried about every one of them. None of it became a problem. Ended up it was arthritis that took him out.

My beagle ate a whole tube of goof-off. I’m sure you’re designer dog will be fine.

quote:We had a boxer that ate a nylon stocking. Saw him scooching around the back yard, went and got closer to see what was up. Had a foot-long turd encased in the stocking poking straight out his arse (kinda looked like a link of boudin), he was trying to make it go away. Poor boy kept looking at it all stressed, and would go to scooching again. I hooked it with a stick and it came out while he scooted.
We had a boxer who was around 6 months old eat a whole bag of balloons without us knowing. We figured it out when there were 2 balloon turds in our backyard. Never seen anything like that
He sniffed his arse good for a few seconds, then ran off with one of those big goofy dog grins

I have an eight-year old pit mix. That dude has eaten things (not people) that I wouldn’t think many dogs could pass. He’s eaten long strange of floss, socks, chicken bones, small pieces of plastic, mail, pieces of a towel and floor rug, placemats, pieces of wood, etc.
Mind you, there’s probably 3-4 different types of dog toys on the living room floor for him right now.

Feed him wet dog food mixed with large chunks of bread and canned or cooked asparagus spears. The asparagus will wrap itself around the object and it along with the bread will make it easier to pass.
Just check his shits for three or so days to make sure it passes, if you don’t find it and you notice him getting lethargic and not eating or drinking you’re fricked and you need to get him to the vet and could require surgery to remove

if the dog isn't a pussy type dog that thing will pass through him like a bottle cap through a goldendoodle(whatever that is,) had a beagle swallow a whole live crawfish once and it was in his pile of shite the next morning, fully intact

Our mixed lab a few years ago shite an intact dead crawfish that she apparently had swallowed whole some days before. The dog is now 12 years old, and I consider that event to be her biggest achievement in life.

Our 1.5 year old 70 Pound yellow lab ate a sock for the first time at 6 months old
Same thing happened to my 25 lb puppy. He ate a sock which my wife noticed immediately. We were worried about a blockage due to his size… So we quickly put a tsp of hydrogen peroxide in his water & got him to drink it to induce vomiting. He spit it up within a minute… along with everything else he had eaten for the past few days.

canned pumpkin pie filling
I put 2 big spoonfuls on top my dogs kibble every couple days because he’s retarded and eats all his dog toys.

One of the grandkids had his drink outside and left his cap. Anyways my GoldenDoodle ( 9 months old 55 lbs ) got the cap and before I could catch him , I think he ate it. Has anyone had this happen with their dog? Should I bring him to the vet tonight? He seems fine now btw
He will poop that out without even noticing

We lost a boxer from a chicken bone- she ground it into splinters and a large one got stuck in her throat. It's been a couple decades now, I forget if she had a heart attack or if she cut a major blood vessel. I think heart attack, but it was while she was at the vet trying to remove it.
I think if it gets to the gut, a dog will shite out whatever goes in.
