Don't have time to read all but take your arse to the Doctor who prescribed you whatever, and do the program to get off the shite.

Cold turkey is for idiots.

I think you should seriously consider visiting the nearest ER. This from an RN.

It's like an electric shock that jolts the whole body. Feels a lot like being startled, but worse.

Any form of withdrawal is a bitch. It differs between people. Some take certain withdrawals harder than others.

Me either, when I used to really get down and get them on sundays/Mondays I always figured it was extreme anxiety. Brain zaps is a perfect term for them

When I used to really hit the bottle, I would get woken up around 5am every morning by the zaps. fricking horrible

Might be the wrong time/thread..

Can you get prescribed that kind of thing as an episodic rather than daily?

I've taken benzos coming off cocaine or MDMA to deal with the comedown, but my anxiety gets worse every day. The issue is that I don't want to be on anything daily. Just episodically. I don't need it daily.. just when it's high.

LL, it's pretty difficult these days to get prescribed benzos, especially without actual panic attacks

Yep, which is the most frustrating shite ever because you know your exhausted and your body won't let you get the much needed sleep

I just hope when you wind up at the hospital, it's not the one I work at. Hate dealing with trashy, whiny patients like you.

ETA: Your doctor may also be trash too. Except for psychiatrists and neurologists, most people shouldn't be prescribing benzos. Especially for "anxiety," "nerves," or sleep. But they're definitely out there. And their patients are the best repeat-customers money can buy. Want to find a patient who loves his doctor? Find the one who fills his benzo prescription.

So what do they do for days when you heart is pounding out of your chest, but you're okay 80% of the other days? Just suck it up?

I get weird and could lay in bed for days.
