re: I simply don’t understand these hardcore road cyclists

I don't cycle around Louisiana anymore because it's dangerous, but I exclusively rode my bike in Idaho. I did so on the road because it's the safest place to be. If you don't like cyclists on the road, you should change the law.
Because you're fat and don't understand the benefits of cycling, or how riding in the road is safer when commuting doesn't put me in the wrong here.
The truth of the matter is that people in this state don't understand it because they both lack perspective and are often allergic to exercise. Also, most of you get scared by anything that's slightly different and don't understand how to process your emotions.
To put it simply, you need to grow up.

Having to slow down for 10 seconds before you can pass a cyclist is unacceptable. They've already got so much to focus on like not spilling their can of white monster or shuffling to the new Jelly Roll song. You want to add "watch for cyclists" to that?

My sister was into it big time, rode all over the country with a group of fellow bike riders.I think one of the rides was for 1,000 miles.
Couple years ago she was riding through a neighborhood after work and a golden doodle charged her and knocked her over.Broke her collarbone and hip,had surgery on both.
Gave it up,I hate it for her.She enjoyed it and always had trouble with her weight, with her bike riding she was very slender.

I do find it funny when cyclists call other people fat. The majority of cyclists I see wearing those gay arse outfits are fat

The reason cyclists run lights and stop signs is because it's too much of an effort to stop and start up all over again. I know this because I did it for years.
Then don't cry when you get hit or get mad at others

I don't need to look it up to say with confidence that the % of obese people in Louisiana is 10x the rate of obese cyclists.

The funny part about this is, this happens to you like once or twice a year and every time this thread pops up yall act like this shite is the end of the world. I hope you can recover from those 3 minutes you lost

Not that at all.
It's dependent on the state, but most of the time cyclists can treat Stop signs as yield signs, and red lights as stop signs.
Most of you just don't actually know traffic laws. Same reason yall shouldn't have a license to operate motor vehicle.
The ignorance in this thread is astounding.
Edit - Just looked it up, I'm definitely wrong by saying most states. Dependent on states, but it looks like somewhere between 7-10 states have adopted it.

One of my fav comedians: Title says hiking, but it’s about biking and a Lance Armstrong reference. Hilarious.

frick these fricks. We live in rural suburbs of Atlanta. Horse farm country. Lots of two lane roads. These assfricks roll up and takeover our roads in the dozens. Seeing 100 bikes in a group is not unheard of.
They block the road, block intersections, and generally cause unsafe situations just for recreation.
There should be laws that require them to file expensive permits and provide police escorts when over a certain number.
But mainly, frick them.

I bet you I know more about traffic laws than you
I don't have an issue with most cyclists. I make sure I give them space. I also know they need to obey the same traffic laws

So far in this thread, we have people complaining that cyclists shouldn't ride on:
-rural roads
-suburban roads
-busy roads
-highways

It's got nothing to do with safety.
The truth is people around here see cyclists and they get angry because they unconsciously hate that someone else is doing something differently than them. I've seen it before. Start asking them why something bothers them and watch their faces contort as they have to answer a question they've never been sober enough long enough to contemplate.
They will rationalize their hatred. It's a safety thing, it's a courtesy thing, it's XYZ. It's not. It's fear of literally anything else slightly different.
