I saw close to 20 State and local police vehicles on I-12 at around 9 am

I see nothing on the news. Some stayed on the interstate
And some exited at 1077 near Covington and Hannan HS. Anyone see this?

No too many. So, I see them as im merging from the hwy 21 ramp. They come blasting by lights going. I think escort but when I saw more and more and nothing to escort i got on the interstate. Traffic is freaking out due to the large number of cops with lights flashing. Cops weaving in and out of the traffic. 3 vechiles on the side (all police) then the 15 or so exited with haste north on 1077. Madisonville Goodbee exit

there was a high speed chase and the dude crashed on 1077 and took off on foot

What is done in Alabama is that they get one cop with a radar set up on a interstate overpass.
On the adjacent onramp from that overpass, there will be about 10 cops lined up waiting in line to go after whatever the next speeding car is.

A speed trap is not the cops themselves. It's the speed limit rapidly dropping
