You may be at a larger firm. If so, I feel sorry for you. You're definitely not at a higher level.

You're welcome to answer the question. How does the person learn by someone else doing their job for them?

100% he’s not being asked to do their job, just assist to help them learn what he has to teach.

How do you know he’s being asked to do all of their work? Because he said so?

You’re fricking gullible if you believe what anyone on this board posts.

So, being asked to completely do 3 of 4 regions for them is not being asked to do their job?

Well, we are discussing the topic at hand based on the information provided. If you want to take the stance of we can't believe anything that has been said, then the basis for your entire side of the argument is invalid as well. You are just picking and choosing what you believe.

And OP already said he met with them and answered questions for them.

Glad we are caught up and on the same page now.

Completely possible. I've already said in this thread we are only getting one side of the story.

Sound like the prior 3rd baseman for the Red Sox. Devers. He didn't want to be a team player either and now he is on the opposite coast.

No he didn’t, he said he already “helped,” which based on all of his posts in this thread almost certainly means he sent a half arse condescending email that provided nothing of value

I haven't been in public accounting for 20+ years. Less than 10 but am very much in upper management. You read "over the course of my career" and made assumptions.

How is your firm coming along with the new quality management standards? Going to be ready for 2025 audits?

Right, youre 20+ years into your career doing government audits at the non partner level. Sucks.

CPAs are the nurses of the white collar world. Necessary, maybe overworked but bitch so much about their job that i don't have any sympathy

Second to commercial real estate people on my list of people I wish would shut up about their job

Not really. It's awesome. You wish you had my job.

Interesting. This tells me you're not actually in management at all. You are completely clueless and in for a huge surprise.

The younger generation definitely likes to complain, but that seems to be across all fields.

I can assure you, I am not jealous of someone doing government audits. Quite possibly the worst work available in public accounting.

I have much higher expectations for those in a Sr Manager role. I have never asked for assistance from another department at this level.

Am I being unreasonable?

One time somebody on the OT said, “Lizzo makes music for women who don’t realize they are the problem in the relationship.”

Well in this case, you’re the Lizzo and your post is the equivalent of a Lizzo song.

Hope this helps.

I think you should both post employers, job titles, and total comp.
