For real tho, the following is a real story:

My buddy and I were in matamoros during spring break getting beer to bring across the border cause we weren't yet 21.

We're in some shady liquor store, about 8 guys come in from the back looking like they're going to jack us.

The owner comes out, apparently seeing my A&M shirt on the monitor. He asks me if I'm an Aggie, I says "yes I'm in school now," he flashes his ring and says "be more careful when you're across the border..." gives me a case of free corona, says something to the crew in Spanish, they retreat to the back and he proceeds to tell me about how he ended up at A&M. I'm pretty sure he was cartel. He told me if I had any problems to give them his name and he would sort it out.

Scared the frick out of me.
