You have to do the trash pick up regardless. I worked at the courthouse for the other two days.

I was referring to having a horrible hangover, waking up early, and standing in the sun

Never had to do it but in Nashville and surrounding counties you have to do litter pickup for 24 hours if convicted of DUI. They also require you to wear an orange vest that says "I'm a drunk driver" on the back of it and they do it on busy streets. Especially in Rutherford County. Haha

It's not a big deal man, just pick up trash off the side of the road like everyone else and move on. It's just like having a shitty job for 2 days. Don't overthink it, just do it

What parish Bourg? I had to do 16 hours mandatory litter detail in Denham and it sucked so fricking bad dude. Walked and picked up trash for at least 12 miles each day.

Wasnt that bad when i did it.. started early and they let us go after about 5 hours, giving us credit for the full day. IIRC it was BR public works employees leading us, so they generally did not give a frick about much. One of the other offenders even passed a J around

$6,000!?

I got a DWI in Lake Charles and it only set me back around $1200. I have a buddy that's a lawyer so all I had to pay him was a bottle of scotch, but still if I needed a DWI lawyer I'm sure it wouldve been somewhere around $2000.

It wasn't that bad. First few hours sucked until I found some Truck Nutz. Then it was like a treasure hunt.

We can't just turn it off bro. We're born this way, like lesbians or midgets. Some of us are just super hardcore all the time, thugging it and loving it. Apologies.

Is there anything else I can do besides roadside trash pickup?

Not that I know of.

Regardless, it's not that bad. I did it last Sunday and the Sunday before.

You can pay it off.

Something like $5-10 an hour

The only thing I heard remotely close to this is some dude who will do your litter detail for you for $100/day.. because they don't check your ID or anything. You just sign in and then get your sheet signed.

But good luck finding him. Some convict on the bus was talking about it.

Just bring a friend and do it yourself. I had a friend from work do it with me both times because we both have DUIs.
He liked it more than "regular" community service, so he's going back and doing it for his additional other 16 hours.
