something else that you may look into... we have one of these on my crawfish catering trailer. if you know anyone in or around the grocery business, these are used to ship cold or frozen goods in. i got mine from a grocery store, basically like a giant yeti. mine will hold 16-18 sacks. may be worth a shot if you know anybody in that business

Duh frick? 2 or 3 days? Are you only driving just over 6 hrs a day? Some people could drive through 19 straight hours. But it can be done, realistically in less than 24 hrs

Exactly. We made many a 1200 mile trips. We’d leave at 4:00-4:30 AM and get there between 12:30-1:00 AM. It would take between 20-21 hours depending on how many times and how long we’d stop to eat.

Lol. Give me 24 hours

I just need 19 if it’s a 19 hour drive.

10 sacks should be plenty, but if they are basically free then I guess who cares.

Since you'll have some extra, let a few dozen go free in the canals or ditches so they will reproduce and cause havoc for them damn yankees!

Rent a truck.

A friend in Metairie carried five sacks about four miles. One crawfish escaped, and found a crevass in his car and then.................unknown to him...........it died. And then the heat of a Jefferson Parish spring went to work.

He smelled it before he saw it, in fact, he never found it. They tore the interior of his car apart. Replaced the trunk liner. On cool days, the car almost passed as normal. On any of the six months of summer, the crawfish was with him, even with his windows down.

He traded in for a new car in January, a cold January.

Rent a vehicle.

Get a Uhaul trailer. Bottom layer of ice, then crawfish, then ice, then wet tarp. The trailer will keep things a bit cooler and out of the sun.

You might wanna find a sucker to rent it for you. No matter how much you spray it out, you will forever smell crawfish in that trailer.

Rent a uhaul.
Stack ice, crawfish, ice. It will melt and drain. Won't hold water and stay cold till you get there

Drill Holes in the bed if your truck So the water drains out and doesn't slosh around too much and create an unsafe road hazard for other drivers.

Freezer trailer. There was a group of guys, I think the former owners of the Pelican House, that drove 2500-3500 pounds of crawfish to Omaha in 2015 and again in 2017. It’s doavle.
