outdated pregame ritual in sporting events. This is a huge victory for the first ammendment. It's good to see goodell, the players, coaches, announcers, and officials all united to demonstrate and defend the freedom of speech from the commander and queef in the white house

You claim it's "good" to see the first amendment being "defended" and yet you call standing to honor our country's National Anthem and flag an "outdated pregame ritual".

I'm guessing you don't understand how this makes you look like you're completely full of shite do you?

Yes, the employer CAN fire them if the employer does not approve of the conduct. The First Amendment protects you from the government silencing your free speech, it does not protect you from an employer.

Do you really think that cops shooting blacks is the real issue? Is your head really that far in the sand? I bet more blacks were killed by other blacks in New Orleans and BR alone in the past decade than were killed by cops in the entire country during the same time frame.

Nobody enjoys innocent people getting killed in any way by any particular group.

But if the whole point of this silliness is somehow save black lives, they are not going about in a manner that will save black lives.

Protesting the National Anthem will not save one black life. The protesting is disingenuous at best.

Black Culture being pretty much dysfunctional is the issue. This is all deflection as to the cause.

NFL doesn't matter enough to me to be outraged! I'm just choosing to watch or do something else!

The group of people playin sport for their entertainment happen to be majority black. They ARE the NFL. They dictate what gets to be done at games, not the president or racist fanbases.

It's not immediate but fanbases absolutely have the power to "dictate" what direction the league ultimately goes in. Piss off the fans and you get hit in the wallet.

I am certainly not the biggest Trump supporter, but you are missing the boat on this.

Who cares what Trump says about this?

Do you think that simply because he is POTUS he is not entitled to his own opinion on the issue?

Trump is not making national policy on the Anthem. Trump is not threatening government action regarding the issue.

He said the owners should fire the protestors. It's his opinion. I agree with it. Clearly, the owners are entitled to exercise that option. Money probably prevents them from doing so (maybe except in Dallas).
