Green Bay's airport is the only airport I've ever seen sell 12 packs of beer to go, and it was Spotted Cow. Came back with 2 of them last time I flew home.

Similar sentiments from me about the good folks up there…stayed in De Pere & Green Bay for the Lambeau game a few years ago and it’s a top 3 away game road trip I’ve ever taken in two decades. Friendliest opposing fans, and I think the feeling was mutual…probably helped that consumption by both sides was off the charts those 3-4 days.

I’d like to venture back up with the family to The Dells or somewhere during the summer soon.

Through TSA in 3 mins flat on Sunday morning…I love that little airport!

My maternal grandfather was from Oconto County. North Woods. I spent some magical summers up there as a child. Grandfather was Scots-Irish and my grandmother was Norwegian. Her mother didn’t even speak English. Lived in a Norwegian settlement in Langlade Co. all her life. I did a lot of growing up in Northern Wisconsin.

The people, the cities, the culture is much better there than several surrounding states. I had no interest in living anywhere in ILL, Ohio, Michigan, Kansas, and etc, but we took several looks at Madison.

Progressive Milwaukee and Madison population centers largely drive the state’s political path but small town/country Wisconsin is good people.

Not unusual to see lots of American flags flying in front of homes in small town Wisconsin and generally just a bunch of good frozen baws and bawettes who like to work hard and have a good time during “off-time”. Hunt, fish, bowling, etc.

Winters are no joke but you adapt and you wouldn’t believe how good 30 degrees feels come January/February/March timeframe. It really doesn’t feel bad at all.

Summers are outstanding. It can get on the humid side but in the evenings usually cools off enough that a light jacket sitting around a big fire feels like Heaven.

Good sports fans. Good place.
