I just submitted my audition for worst parent of the week (year?)

time for an adult beverage?

pineapple beer brewed in Alabaster, Abalama (sic)
left my cup on the desk by my PC
10 minutes later?
"Daddy this doesn't taste like water, this is bad water. Can you get me the other water?"

Seriously, that doesn't even rank on the worst parent scale. Just a learning experience. No harm, no foul. That is, unless you keep drinking that beer.
I kid. One of my favorites lately has been a pistachio cherry. I can only find it draft at a couple places, though.

I remember the first time I accidentally took a big ole swig of my dad’s beer, thinking it was gonna be Coke. Tastes so bad I wiped my tongue off with a baby wipe.

I wouldn’t worry about it. I drank my dads jack and coke a few times as a tyke. I’m still alive and not an alcoholic. Also drank cigarette ashes and skoal spit out of coke cans back in the day. Never picked up a random drink after the skoal spit incident.

At least you didn’t do it on purpose. When my oldest was around 4 she used to drink a lot of apple juice so one day I put some ipa in her cup for dinner. She took one big gulp and did the best spit take I’d ever seen. “Dis apps juice is bad” had me rolling. Still gets a chuckle at family events. Good times.

Some examples:
We were out of milk so I gave my five year old a vanilla Frappuccino
My nine year old drank my whiskey and Coke and asked for more
I made mozzarella sticks one night for dinner last week
I’m sure my teenagers can come up with a few more - so don’t be so hard on yourself
