For Medicare do places like this testing set up have some inflated “retail” rate they charge but then except negotiated rate similar to insurance billing?
I can get some blood work and see lab charging $500 to later see lab accepted less than $30 from insurance.

Industry practice is 3x Medicare but if Medicare is your provider, I’ll bill 3x and collect their rate. In this case, $125.
Bill $500 for lab work that is only going to collect $30 is pretty egregious. Our wellness panel is about $100 billed, expect to collect $35 (Medicare rate).
