They arent. they are some shitty amazon bought ones.
That said ive bought some because im a bit of a prepper (now prepping to leave Louisiana) and they really do seem to be worse than the old ones. Some creative recipes though

Damn good thing you didn't have to eat those things in the early 80s when some of the first ones came out! The heater didn't work? Was no such thing back then. Ever eat a dehydrated pork patty with cold water to reconstitute it?

Ate those things for ten years and the only one I didn't like was the Chick-A-La-King. Google Ranger Pudding and make you some Go Go juice
