You should have picked a random word out of the dictionary that they could use to play for free. And told them about it 8 times during each commercial break.

My 7 seven year old plays real football in a league and is all about it. My little man!

My kids have no interest in playing. I wish they did. My 8 year old wins every spelling bee, though. I'm proud of him. I guess you can't have everything.

I hardly ever post on the OT. You can be sure it will be my last, probably to everyone in this thread's happiness. It's a tough crowd.

Good thing they aren't watching an LSU game. They would be so confused.

Or you could just teach them the basics of the game...

Let me give you some sage old OT advice I've learned from a long time ago. Don't start threads. Participate and finish them only.

Teaching them to gamble

Their allegiance is tied to a coin flip

They will be like my ex gf. Didn't know anything about football but was in a fantasy league with her coworkers

I like football but goddamn its not something I really want my kids to get into. Why don't you try and get them to find chess interesting or a skill like guitar or piano. Oh frick it just make them quit school now and get a job down at the plant.
Football is a sport for mongoloids and morons.

After the coin flip they base their selection on

1. Who has the ball
2. Who has momentum
3. Who's the favorite and why

I'm teaching them this as we go along. They're learning about players. They had no idea who Luke Kuechly was before today.

Like I said, my 8 year old has won every spelling bee. I never played an instrument growing up, so I can't teach them what I don't know. If they show interest in playing an instrument, I will gladly let them participate. But you are right, giving them incentive to learn an instrument is a great idea.

Im just giving you a hard time pal. I wonder why my 8 y old boy doesn't care about football either. At the end of the day though I do not want him playing, or my daughter!
