recently learned Oktoberfest in Germany has family friendly events. Sometimes parents like things besides Disney.
Lots of great stuff in Europe for kids and adults

So it explained how May, the numbers always drop - but then June, the numbers skyrocket and the June numbers are almost as low as May’s numbers and Disney is freaking out about it
Attendance is back up in 2024. The professional career folks at the Disney Parks in Orlando that we hang out with are not freaking out at all. Their jobs seem pretty good and no mention of layoffs at all.
Disney's biggest struggles aren't with the parks but in media and other shite.

We still haven't taken our 3 teenagers to Disney World. Kinda feel bad. Wife and I figure we'll one day pay for them to go as young adults. We don't care to go.
We've been out west for 4 vacations and we've hiked/explored so many of the grand national parks west of the Great Plains. The western states are beautiful and amazing.

If 30% of the people in those parks weren't there....it would be way better.

You're ok with the pride event held there while the kiddos watch?

Yikes.

We go every year or two. We went twice in the last 12 months.

So you love your kids more than Worldly Alter loves his

When considering a Disney vacation several years ago, when my kids were young, the bolded was my first thought. And that was the end of considering a Disney vacation. No lines. No sunburn. No waffles.
My mom took me to Disneyland once when I was 9 months old, and that was enough for me.
Now, you never explicitly stated that you actually went to Disney World or not in your OP, but if you did, it seems like you chose to go while already having a pretty good idea that it wasn't for you.

My BIL and SIL are in Switzerland and then Italy with their kid right now. So by the Law of Vacations, they must love their kid more than you love yours.
Or maybe that's a stupid way to measure how one feels for their children. I don't know. You tell me.

Disney is certainly not for everyone. You have to be a patient person. You also have to care more about a child’s or children’s happiness more than your own comfort for one week.
