You are the one claiming to have definitive knowledge that there were 0.
How many black Anglo-Saxon or Norman noblemen do you think took part in the battle?

Correct. Not everything is as the BBC “historians” tell you.
I still don’t understand why you think there’s a chance any black people were there.

Good gried, of course it's possible. But why present it as something that was anything other than a .0000000000000000000000000001 % chance? Why push the narrative?

Correct
Ignorance is bliss as they say. The fact you are so willing to rule out the possibility despite not actually knowing says a lot about you.
We still discover new species every day. Lack of existing evidence =/= impossibility.

The fact that you are willing to say there’s a chance despite absolutely no evidence whatsoever leads me to believe you’re almost certainly female.

People have been combing over these sites and documents for hundreds of years. They haven’t found anything that would even suggest what you’re suggesting. It’s probably one of the most studied battles in medieval UK history. You can keep living in your fantasy world of what if’s. I won’t stop you. But, I don’t have to indulge in your delusion.

there is a chance. there is evidence of black people being alive and in Europe in 1066 so saying there is absolutely no evidence suggesting the possibility is also wrong.

they aren't even absolutely certain of the location of the battle, much less the race of every participant.
There could have very well been 0 black people at the battle.
There also couldve been 15 that artists of the time chose not to depict.
It doesnt matter either way, we know the majority of the participants were not black and the show will be consistent with that.
We also know this is a tv show with actors playing dress-up, not the actual battle.

Classic fem behavior/thinking. “I don’t have any actual evidence so I’ll insert my feelings and make it so”
I bet you get legit mad at your husband because he did something to you in a dream you had.

It is unlikely there were very many.
There wasn't. No amount of SJW virtue signaling is going to make that true. Examples others have already stated, and plain flat out history, which you have no concept of in this regard, completely disproves your "well there's a chance" stupidity. It's ok to admit that black people aren't responsible for every single historical action that existed. You won't be called racist by rational people by admitting that.

Yes there are. Historians have researched it, unlike you.
quote:
The Battle of Hastings was fought on October 14, 1066, near the town of Battle in East Sussex, England, specifically on Senlac Hill. This site is approximately 7 miles northwest of Hastings.

False

It doesnt matter either way,
Then why force it if it "doesnt' matter"?

If you are going for a historical action/drama, and if you are trying to be HISTORICALLY ACCURATE, then you need to be HISTORICALLY ACCURATE, and not wokely accurate.

Then why race swap?

Ah so you have confirmed it wasn't fought at Caldbec Hill or Old Heathfield? I need to see your research.

Among their evidence are several accounts written in the 18th and 19th centuries that suggest the battle took place in this area. For example, a 1751 edition of England’s Gazetteer states: “Heathfield, (Sussex), lies on a Down of its own name, near Burwash-Downs, 7m. from Hastings, and 12 from Tunbridge [Tonbridge, Kent] and Lewes. On this plain was fought the decisive battle bet. Will. the Conq. and K. Harold.”

Nothing will ever be 100% historically accurate. There are plenty of white people in the cast that don't have roots in 1066 England as well.

We don’t know for exact certainty that there are zero black people living on the dark side of the moon but we can make a pretty strong guess.

Shocking that you’re so cool with injecting nonsensical race swaps here. Liberals like you have zero respect for white history. You’re so retarded you want to “diversify” the historical past. You’d cry if a random nonsensical white person was inserted into another people’s history. You leftists fricking hate white people.

I mean that's great and all but we know there were Africans in England for centuries before the Battle of Hastings. You can't say the same for the dark side of the moon

nope. wouldn't care about that either. only you wokeists give a shite.

All that research and not one black person popped up

While we can’t 100% rule out a black dude in the English shieldwall, I think we can reasonably say that Earl Morcar, son of Ælfgar, was not. Lol
Not to mention, they shoehorned in a character named Thane Thomas (definitely not at all a pre-Conquest English name), just to have another diverse character.
I’m probably more disappointed that given the wealth of historical record and probably the most famous storyboard of all time, they couldn’t get the armor and costumes right and defaulted to another dreary/muddy Vikings-esque look.

Apparently the American Revolution was won by black founding fathers... why not Hastings too
