I believe Kwanesius was the MVP of the battle of Stamford Bridge less than a month earlier.

I have a brother in law who is a Mexican. When his mother was about to give birth, she lived in a little village in New Mexico and the nearest doctor was 12 miles south in a Mexican border town.

He even has a Mexican birth certificate and he's whiter than a tube of school glue with a Norwegian last name.

The Normans began conquering Sicily in 1061 before they fought Battle of Hastings. Their exposure to the Mediterranean and raiding North Africa was already extensive at the time. Sub-Saharan trade in ivory, gold and people went through North African trade routes.

Yet the BBC is telling me that this is the way it was.

Here is a screen grab from their miniseries which chronicles William of Normandy's conquest of England

I actually read where hes the only actor in the show that didnt actually participate in the Battle of Hastings.

Everyone else is 100% accurate

What they’re trying to do is rewrite history to make it appear that multicultural societies have always been the norm. This is pure fantasy. The fact is, really until the last couple of centuries, they were exceptionally rare. And furthermore, if you study history you’ll find they invariably lead to social collapse.

The only place it kinda seems to work is Singapore, however, they basically have a totalitarian police state and dont tolerate any nonsense

You objectively have to wonder how many other things in our historical accounts were altered completely as well before we had the means to tell.

Did you know that if a white family moves to Africa and makes a white baby, that white baby is an African? It is true. Same if you move to Mexico and start a family. The child would be a Mexican. Color isn't necessarily indicative of where you are from.

What does this have to do with the BBC trying to pretend black people were at the Battle of Hastings?

It was mostly true in 1066. Like 99.99% true

So if there were 5k on each side at the battle of hastings that would mean if 0.01% were black there would be 1 black guy there. We found him!

Well that misses the point that's been drilled into our heads for years now. Appropriate representation has been the left's theme for a while now. Showing this guy doesn't do that, it actually skewes it. I'm sure there was one or more black guys out there, but showcasing them isn’t appropriate representation.

Though honestly, this is a stupid topic to argue about.

Maybe. Bit the .01% is basically all of Europe. And then we have to figure out which regions of France and England the soldiers came from and what their percentage of black people was. I won’t research but let’s assume it’s .001%. Then let’s assume there’s some racism involved and even all of the .001% of Africans showed up for the battle most of them are cooking or cleaning. So now we’re at .0001% chance of blacks being on the line during the battle.

Now one would rightly assume that if there was a black guy that made it to the .0001 of black guys on the planet to fight in this battle he would probably be a significant if not extraordinary human being. And yet there are zero records of such man

The BBC had a cartoon about how the Romans conquered Britain and half the characters were black

If it were a fantasy series like Game of Thrones, that’s fine. But when people watch a movie or series in actual history, they prefer it be as accurate as possible. And when the historic inaccuracy is due to a political agenda, that makes it even worse.

The British government used a fictional Netflix show to villainize young white British boys as the cause of most of the violence, especially sexual assault, in the UK. Some politicians even referred to it as a documentary and said it should be mandatory to watch it. So let’s not pretend that this doesn’t have larger social and political ramifications.

America cut the nuts off Britain 250 years ago and they’ve never recovered. We should probably just colonize them at this point. It’s an easy win
