Had 4 cats over 18 years. We have only one now. I’ll never get another cat when this one passes. This last one (14 years old) just sleeps most of the time near it’s food and litter box. It doesn’t do anything else. Seriously.
We have a dog that is just as fine as can be and behaves wonderfully.

I believe this. When I’m stressed at work, my cat comes over, reaches up and if I bend down, he hugs my neck then crawls on my lap. He’s like my anxiety support cat. I really should get a video of the hug thing because I’ve never had a cat do this amd I’ve owned them all my life.
Just a little ole stray that I found as a flea ridden kitten. Now fat (but on a diet) and asleep in an upside ball at the foot of my bed. Lil stinker.
