Not exactly, some classes don't have an AP option, so you can only get 4.0 credit in them
Right. And it depends on the school. But my point was that the reason that so many students can attain 4.0 GPA is because there is a 5.0 weighted scale in high school that they probably didn't have 30 years ago.

Prop Shop

Wouldn't know. Haven't had to have my Prop worked on. The Prop Stop on the other hand has some of the finest, mostly teethed women the LP has to offer.

Hey I have no problem with that. If taking the final six times (it shouldn't be the same questions) results in the kid learning the material then good. I would let all the kids that passed the finals the first time out of school as soon they passed them all.

I know a private school here in Louisiana that takes that one step further--if a kid fails any test he has to stay after school for studying until he can pass the test. Even has to come to school on Saturday. Needless to say after a time to two those kids come prepared for the test.

I am too, unless she's in a school that's desperately trying to fudge it's pass and graduation rates.

Everything in public education is test/test results driven. The schools (teachers) are forced to teach the tests. Otherwise the results are unacceptable.

No, there's not. It's not a 5.0 scale, because every student is required to take a number of classes that don't offer the extra credit point.

I will be honest, there were times when I took test and I would get mad because of what I got wrong on test and I would obviously look to see what I got wrong and that would stick with me. In other words, my test score didn't really reflect what I would actually learn.

So if this is true, I can see how this could actually teach students more..

I would check the demographics before making this assertion.

You're a special kind of stupid aren't you?

Only teaching the kids to pass a standardized test doesn't prepare them for life outside of a learning institution. It only teaches them to pass that particular test.

And btw that doesn't prepare them for college either.
It&s the same principle. Someone determines what merits mastery and they are taught what the powers that be say is the standard.
