I binge watched every episode of The Walking Dead last month. I’ve learned that.......

In any kind of apocalyptic situation, you’re in more danger from your fellow man than anything else.
I’m afraid I would just kill any other human being I don’t know in that situation. You can’t trust anyone you don’t know.
Would you be a Rick or a Negan?

You can't trust anyone even the ones you know.

I'm a Shane. Distracted by a piece of arse just to be killed by my best friend when it all comes out in the wash.

Whichever one doesn't have to watch a shitty soap opera with zombies.

Oh, and the "Walking Dead" are the survivors, not the zombies.

Why am I just hearing about this?

I tried to watch the show. Gave it about three episodes over a couple of years. All were the same. We need to reach X or find Y and kill/avoid zombies on the way. Did I miss anything?

I don't think I'd put a lot into lessons learned from fictional shows

I liked the beginning. It got drawn out. I don't know if you watched 1-3 and called it quits, or you just watched 3 random episodes. But it was a huge hit.

Also, lesbians have about a 75% survival rate.

The strongest survive
Bullets will run out like power and food
Most of the people do not have the capacity to survive
I’d think the 9th ward would rule Nola

This was fiction, but it represents what would really happen in the apocalypse.
Being heavily armed is definitely an advantage to those that know how to use them. That, and being mechanically inclined and ruthless/brutal.

Stumbled across it a couple years ago. Binge watched it. While it had its slow periods, it’s been a damn interesting story. Lots of survival dilemmas, and a lot of hard, cold decision-making scenarios. Of course it has its share of social justice / alternative lifestyle indoctrination thrown in, but overall I rather enjoy the hell out of it. Raises a some interesting ethical challenges.

Who do you trust in life or death situations?
Would you kill out of mistrust?
Would you leave others to die to save yourself?
Many more.

quote:IRL, Negan would get killed by one of his own before long. It's hard to rule over people who hate your guts because you make them bow to you, torture, burn and steal their wives while not allowing them to leave in a world where there are no consequences for shooting people in the head. Negan was hated by all of the Saviors, so it would be just a matter of time before someone executed him.
Negan. Rick is a pussy.
Rick is loved by his people, especially the other group leaders like Daryl and Michonne who would support and protect him.
