Anyone who identifies according to a specific age group is still using identity politics.

I know boomers, xers, and millennials who are productive, responsible, and independent thinking.

I know boomers, xers, and millennials who are whiny, spoiled, self indulgent, and incapable of independent thought.

TBH, we are all spoiled rotten and have no idea what being poor even means.

The World War II generation saved the Western World and then made life really safe and comfortable for most Americans. Most Americans since then have taken it for granted and often ended up demonizing the generation that made their self indulgent lifestyles possible.

I have to wonder what the surviving war generation thinks when they hear the selfish, spoiled generations bicker amongst themselves. Probably don't give a $#!+ anymore.

Exactly. I was in high school in 1995. And the rate of technology change in the last 30 years has been unparalleled before.

Growing up in the 80s and 90s, I didn't have a cell phone, much less a smart phone. Social media didn't exist. We still used the card catalog in the library.

That's a world apart from someone born in 95 and having smart phones from the time they were 10.

Nope. Mostly boomers. Some Xers who had children very early in their adulthood may have younger millennials.

We should start giving millenials wedgies and swirlies so they know their place.

They can't handle it when someone raises their voice or calls them a name.

They'll demand new laws to protect them from wedgie givers, also known as Nazis.

Honestly that makes almost no sense at all.

It doesn't matter if it makes sense. Generations are pretty much always categorized in 15-20 year periods.

Also, the people this board is always complaining about are mostly the children of millennials and younger gen xers.

Hard to find that safe space if they're face down in the toilet.

Honestly that makes almost no sense at all. What exactly does someone who graduated high school in 1998 have in common with someone that graduated high school in 2013?

Because generations typically have a 20 years range. You are going to have some social differences on the border kids. It's not an exact freakin science.
