Ok, so when you get married you stop being attracted to other people?

This is so terribly shortsighted, selfish, and immature. I really feel sorry for anyone who thinks life is all about “fun”. You sound like an adolescent.

Being attracted to other folks doesn’t mean you need to have sex with other folks. It’s called “having a bit of self restraint.” It’s called appreciating their beauty as a fellow human, or better yet, a person made in God’s image. It’s called “showing a bit of sacrificial love to your spouse”.

The fact that you’re too embarrassed for your kids to ever find out about your shallowness and your selfishness says it all. And to think that you won’t be answering to your kids, but to your creator...

What you’re claiming to enjoy is so perverse that,
1) it’s clear you don’t really like it (double standards abound).
2) most of this secular message board finds it repulsive. That’s saying a lot.

Try a little introspection in 2021. Maybe start with the Gospels. Perhaps the woman at the well.

Speaking of the bible, judge not lest you be judged.

Let her live her life. Any “god” who sends people he “loves” who he created, who didn’t have a choice in their existence, just because they don’t follow a book written 2000 years ago... isn’t a just and loving “god” at all.

Basically, “god” is Jigsaw from the Saw movies. You know, forces people in a room, makes them play his stupid sick games, and if they fail... brutally kills them. Sadistic. Not loving at all.

What a great “god” you believe in. Shame that people like you are so brainwashed. I bet you’re one of those Christians who goes to church on sundays but you’re against giving money to homeless people and healthcare for the poor.

Also, about being illegal... confetti is illegal in Alabama. A lot of people on NYE are going to be answering to their “creator.”

Yeah... maybe Christians should mind their own business. Not my fault you have to take your cues on moral integrity from a book written 2000 years ago with no factual proof whatsoever... all because you think you’ll get into heaven. I’m a moral person because... I’m a good person. I don’t need a book to tell me what to do.

Pro-lifers who shame teenagers for having a baby when they could just as easily have an abortion.

Well, I’m sorry my friend. Your lack of insight is indicative of a journey that’s only just begun.

You are metaphorically trying to saw off the branch that you’re sitting on. Do you not know that your very understanding of “moral integrity” and “being a moral person” are resting firmly on the pillars of Judeo-Christianity with a blend of Aristotelian logic and Roman justice?

In other words, your understanding of what it means to be a “good person” has been formed by the past, by natural law, as expressed and transmitted through biological and cultural evolution, and through the revelation of God’s design outlined in the 2000-3000 year old New and Old Testaments that you so ignorantly dismiss to your own detriment.

Nope.

You should try understanding the Christian view of God. You then won’t appear so unintelligible.
All she’s got to do is acknowledge the error of her ways and attempt to live a sacrificial life instead of a hedonistic one. The only way this is possible is precisely because God is loving.
The “great exchange” is truly remarkable and unparalleled.

No other religion is revolutionary in the sense that Christianity is: our sin in exchange for his forgiveness and grace. But you’ve got to acknowledge and turn from the sin.

I’m not perfect. I’m far from it, but I pray prayers of confession, and I know God is faithful to forgive through his Son.

The gospel. You might read more about it.

Also, Jimbeaux has you cornered. Dead to rights.
You walked right into when you mentioned morality. Why oh why would you even mention that word, thus proving the very existence of God?

So the priests that touched little boys and “acknowledged” it will be vilified and forgiven? Phuck off with your make believe religious beliefs.

The problem is, you think god has anything to do with my knowledge that I don’t want other people hurt just like I don’t want to be hurt. I want to treat others the way I want to be treated. Sure, the bible teaches that... somewhat... but I don’t believe in god, especially the Christian god... and I’m a moral person.

You’re proving my point. You think it’s impossible to be a moral, good person without god. AKA Jigsaw from the Saw movies.

Ya know, you could try framing it as a genuine question instead of answering incorrectly...

No, what you described is not the way Christianity works.

Did I say merely acknowledge? No, I said acknowledge, confess, and turn. It must be sincere. Not just a “Hey God I did this. Forgive me.”

1. We are all in the same boat no matter the sin.
2. There is forgiveness no matter the sin.

The question is, have we changed, and will we continue to fight the good fight against sin. Will be strive to “mortify of the flesh” and live for God?
