Want to hear a crazy fact...
At the time Karate Kid was made, Pat Morita (Mr Miyagi) was 51. Daniel Larusso (Ralph Macchio) is now 56.
Another age fact:: Ralph Macchio was 23 playing the part of 15-16 year old Daniel in 1984.

Laruso has his drivers license, he was at least 16 when the movie began and turned 17 during the film.

I always felt bad for Judy, the girl he left behind in NJ. He told her, "Don't worry, I'll be back soon" but then as soon as he arrived in Cali he was after Ali's pudgy arse in that blue bathing suit. Judy was probably crying herself to sleep at night because Daniel never called. What a dick.
