He can send a sample of his dogs DNA to 23 and Me. They'll send something back in a few weeks telling him his dog is a mixture of European, Native American, Scandinavian and African. You know the same answer they Send to everybody.

Get it trained early. Take it to training courses early. Don't let it go untrained. Keep it on a leash any time it is outside of your house or back yard. Treat it well, but be very safe and careful.
Think of owning a pit a little like keeping a loaded gun. They are very, very territorial and protective of their pack. I would not recommend you allow friends and neighbors to bring their dogs over without concerted effort to meet at a neutral site a few times first.
If you follow rules like these, pit and pit mixes can be very amazing dogs for you and your family. But you have to be very careful and aware.

You need to get rid of it now and just get another lab

3 months old mix...it’s up to you. Raise it right and you’ll have a great dog.

There’s a vet in River Ridge that will make house calls in these situations.

All of this says: Train it and train it completely AND well. Then isolate it from anyone forever.
This might work.

Dogs have types. Great Pyrenees? Not great with strangers. I have an Amstaff and he will be 11 in April.
Great with people, loves my kids, we have three cats and he loves them all.
But he is dog aggressive. It's just his nature.

That’s a fancy way of saying you have a pitbull.
I never pictured you as white trash.
Until now.

It's not to isolate the dog from everything; in fact I recommend the opposite, they need to be socialized very well as part of training and maintaining a healthy dog. But you have to know what you're doing and be smart about it.

Well first of all its a puppy so I give them the benefit of the doubt and you do not know what the bread is yet. I think the fact that it is a mix is good and I just don't trust a vet to pick a bread on sight.

I've met plenty of pit mixes that I love. But because of the reputation and history of the breed one could be very careful about owning one.

Pit bulls aren't that bad. They feed off their owners. Just treat it right

Y’all are poon tangs. It’s a mix not a full blown baby killer tank of a pitt.
