frick Pit Bulls
100%
Trash dogs for trash people
It’s in their breed to be mean nasty unpredictable and aggressive
My most depressing ER consult one night was to come fix this girls face. She was a pretty 19 year old girl who had just moved out on her own. Her right cheek was flayed open like someone stuck a knife in her mouth and ripped it open.
She said she was attacked by a dog
She said she was attacked by her own dog
Did nothing to provoke it was just cuddling with it on the couch when it bit her
Her own dog she had since it was an innocent little puppy
I asked her what breed
Pit Bull
frick those things

They’re responsible for more fatalities than all other dog breeds combined. But I’m sure they’re just a misunderstood breed.

just drown it like a bag of kittens of kids like most folks do

I feel like the dog is an offspring of two closely related dogs.
Maybe someone bred a brother and sister that was mixed with pitbull.

"Raise it right, it will be OK"
Lord have Mercy of these ignorant fools.

People with small kids are better off getting a purebred. You know the breed, temperament, the temperaments of the sire and bitch, etc
Folks got the family a cocker spaniel when I was a kid. They both had one growing up and were good dogs. This one we got was the meanest dog I have ever seen. Did 2 tours at the vet jail for biting people. In fairness to the dog one of the bites was on his turf. On a run, in a fenced backyard. Kid came back there and got bit.

This dog will be what you raise it to be. I have a friend who has 2 bullies/mixed and they are the absolute best friends a person can have.

They're the best friends a person can have until they're not.

Relax. Treat her right and she will be fine. We have a rescue pit and she is the most lovable and playful dog. She’s about as threatening as my grandmother.

Weird new relationship ya’ll seem to have anyway…
Yeah, as a dog lover through and through, pits can be absolutely challenging

Final update.
Brief backstory - I gave the dog away (fully disclosing pitbull status) and I just happened to know a guy that lives in their neighborhood that is friends with the family that we gave the dog to. He texts me updates from time to time.
He texted me last night that the dog attacked a walker in the neighborhood and sent them to the ER. Owner finally put the dog down.
Some dogs ain’t meant for polite society and this one was a very bad boi.
Bullet dodged on my end tho.

Next time, watch the CAA shelter page and wait for a German shepherd to come in instead of adopting a killer pit

My parents had one before having us. Got rid of it after having us. Things can be mean.

You're guilty for giving that beast away! Next time put a bullet through its skull.

You should send your update that you posted to the place you got him from.

I got one by accident , it just showed up with chewed rope around his neck. I was very leery since we already rescued three small dogs. It’s been 13 years and he is the best dog we have ever owned. We bought him a cat and a small puppy for him to play with and they have kept him young. The only problem we have had is him breaking out of our fenced yard too go visiting others dogs in the neighborhood.
