Same happens on I-85 to Atlanta. Different points used by AL and GA.

If you stop at mile marker 130 and sit still for one hour and then drive one mile you will get much better gas mileage.

I always keep tabs on what milepost I'm at when driving on the interstates - pop a tire or anything happening on the road it's real easy to call for help and give a general location of where you are.

I use to be that way. I guess with ever present GPS nowadays it doesn't matter. But before GPS, if u broke down and called a wrecker they wanted to know the mile marker.
