.only dislike is you can't fully defeat the traction control.
Have a friend who´s a Dinan dealer, and did up his 5 series to the hilt (2015), which was already an M.
He´s afraid to defeat the traction control, and a friend who´s a professional pilot took it out, and said there´s no reason to do so, you´ll kill yourself.

What do owners think?
My parents are former owners. Their Genesis had a lot of serious problems. They say it was the worst car they've owned in 30 years.

There is a big psychological block there.
I read about them during my last car purchase, but I could not get my head around spending that much $ to say, yeah baby, it's a Hyundai.

Hyundai and Kia are doing what car manufacturers do.
Honda and Toyota once made cheap cars and over time transitioned to being major players making very nice cars.
Japan did it with Honda and Toyota and now the Koreans are doing it with Kia and Hyundai. They are making beautiful cars these days and are no longer shite brands.

They look like knockoffs of other brands

Don't care either way. Just pointing out that Kia and Hyundai have followed the route other Asian car manufacturers have and have transitioned from the "cheap" cars to competing. They are making pretty cars.

equus is nice. been through two of them now. Not only is the car top notch, the service is fantastic.
Couldn't agree more with the service part, especially if you're in BR. Service manager at All Stat Hyundai is a straight savage

I pulled the ESC fuse under hood and did some burn outs for fun!! Only way to fully defeat but you loose speedo and tach.
It's got great passing power for a V6 but wish I could truly defeat it with the switch.

I paid $20k but don't think I would have paid sticker price ($44K)

I have a 2011 Genesis Coupe and I love it. I haven't put that many miles on it because it's not a car that's very comfortable for more than 2 people to ride in. So I'm not taking it on road trips often. But still, it's held up so well so far.
The only problem is the tires do not last. You can't rotate them because the back tires are different from the front. And they're expensive as hell. Luckily, when I got the car I got two sets of free tires. For reference, I used my first set of free tires around 25k miles.

I have 2011 Sonata Limited 2.0T and 2014 Santa Fe Sport 2.0T. Both are fun vehicles to drive.

Agreed.
The cars are now reliable.
I just don't agree when some say "they are the same as" BMW or Lexus.
