If you see a car or truck on a piece of land, that has been sitting for years, maybe decades. Owner of property passes, no heirs whatsoever, or lienholders. How would one acquire this vehicle? thx

Just drag it out of there and take it home with you. What’s the worst that could happen?

buy the land

or rent a tow truck

if its abandoned and there is no legal owner or lien dependent on State law,,, it belongs to whomever claims it.

possession, while not 9/10ths of the law , still matters

Figure out who is paying the property taxes. Then call them and lowball the shite out of them on the land. Make them throw in the truck.

Does property such as this with no heirs become the state's property? If so, it would seem that you'd have to purchase it from the state.

this ^^^^^

tax assessors office public records will show this

contact the owners this way and buy the truck, chances are they would let you have it for nothing or next to nothing.

its my understanding that vehicles of a certain age didnt have titles for them so if its pre 1960 its a good chance there is no title or ownership documents

if the taxes arent being paid then you pay it and any back taxes. after 5yrs the property becomes yours because you paid the taxes. if the owners are around and want to keep the property then they pay the taxes and late fees and you get a full refund from the tax office so you have zero risk. my uncle got ownership of 8 or 9 properties this way that people abandoned

That is not really sound legal information.
