Are your lingering effects worse then being dead?
I'd rather take my chances with the 1% death rate tbh

My mom has been taking Chloroquine for a long time for RA. Zero side effects.

Haven't seen anyone downplay the drug combination and for those who can still get it, I think doctors are trying it. I'd try it for sure...
There seem to be some promising results. The link you shared is a little goofy to me because the doctor is close to explaining the normal course of symptoms with the infection. Still, it's promising but I'm not sure I'd call that even close to scientific.
The risk of Voodoo or unsubstantiated science can be severe and promoting it on a broad scale is irresponsible.

Look, other countries have been using the drug with success. Certain people in America are trying to downplay it for 1 of 2 reasons or both which are 1. To get their dick hard proving Trump wrong 2. They are in the pockets of big pharma hoping to make a "brand new covid-19" drug. God forbid an older, cheap drug works.

The mainstream media has.

You believe mefloquine to be the same as chloroquine and hydroxychloroquine, just because they are all quinines? Drug families have members with drastically different pharmacodynamic profiles.

I dont care what anyone else takes. I'm merely putting out the reason I choose to stay away from it. Everyone can make their own decisions.

I'm glad.
There are many people that took Larium with zero side effects... but there are a lot of us out here that still have side effects.
Militaries have been using this shite for years and now they've starting banning it bc of the effects... similar to TBI and numerous documented cases of suicidal behavior. The VA recently started allowing veterans to claim it as a rated condition.

Again you are directly comparing mefloquine to chloroquine and hydroxychloroquine. Your comparison is absolutely not valid. Ask me how I know.

I just saw a story on inside edition about a guy that was in the hospital and told his doctor he wanted to try it.
Ten hours later he was almost symptom free.

Nothing I said remotely resembles that.
Firstly, I was trying to be very polite while disagreeing with people who seem to be over-starting what information does exist. I didn't insult anyone's intelligence.
If there are proper studies done with proper controls then that would be great because lives would be saved. So far it seems like respected institutions like the CDC, WHO, and NIH believe this is not the case but they are willing to investigate this because that kind of information would be very helpful.

Most reporting I have seen is basically just saying pump the breaks and get a little more data before declaring this the miracle drug savior.
I got killed on the poli board for saying the same thing. I am as big a Trump supporter there is but he needs to let the doctors do the studies and trials they need to do right now and get more data because we will not know if it works until you do a randomized control trial.
If it causes bad outcomes, the Gordon McKernan’s of the world will line the clients out the door. I’m cool with giving people the drug—any possible treatment—just do it in a way that you get actual information and not half assed anecdotal evidence.

If we didn't need to pump the brakes and get more data before shutting down the economy, we don't need to do it for a WHO essential and safe medicine either.
No one other than that idiot governor have said don’t use it. People are cautioning it been considered a miracle drug to solve this problem.
