Not sure about eastbound but I think it's closed for them too because there's a lot of traffic going the opposite way along the detour. Anyone know what's going on? I saw a bunch of fire trucks and police cars along the beginning of the detour. Seems serious
ETA: it's closed both ways

Somebody ran into a chemical pipeline and busted it causing the chemical to start spraying out.

I was going to take 90 to NOLA in an hour or so.

Just had a conference call about this. We're probably going to have to shut in some producers in the gulf.

How is this not guarded by concrete barricades?

I heard it’s closed in both directions.

It was probably buried and marked by signs. I was told it was a natural gas pipeline.

You’re lucky. It could have been you.

Yes it is. Finally got through it and saw that eastbound traffic was being redirected

Looking at Google maps, it appears to closed in both directions. Traffic is being diverted through Baldwin.

This is from the St. Mary's Sheriff's Office FB.
Depending on what it is, could be pretty dangerous.

Yeah, everyone knows propane isn't flammable.
