That is for health coverage. It's one of the sharing ministries. Similar to Medi-Share.

How do they know if you're a practicing Christian?

Christians aren't practicing, they're serious, it's game time for them.

The Baja is not necessarily like the rest of Mexico. I have driven it solo a couple of times. Cool, mystical place with friendly people. Only once was I shook down by the Federalies -- Army roadblocks were all ok.

BTW -- appears to me that she is not living there full time -- just a vacation boat/home.

Everybody should drive the Baja once in their life!

There are five of them out there. Not sure how each one makes sure. I had to give the name of my church but I don't know if they checked.

Eventually they'll be kidnapped and murdered. Sorry I'm a pessimist or a realist depending on your viewpoint.

We're a miserable lot on the OT but we also read the news and know Mexico isn't safe for gringos.

Mexico is safer than many U.S. cities. Don't believe everything you hear in the media.

New Orleans is beloved and its renaissance is showcased in the news. The FBI reports the murder rate of New Orleans is declining, but it is nearly 4 times higher than all of Mexico and over 5 times higher than Mexico City.

An American away from resort areas in Mexico is walking around with a target on their chest.

Not unlike a whitey walking through the hood in any big city in America. It might not happen right away but it will happen eventually.
